About the Workshop
In the paper-cutting stop-motion animation workshop, Emily will introduce the process of creating stop-motion and share secrets for bringing flat paper-cut characters to life. Participants will choose themes like fantastical fairy worlds or imaginative stories. Under Emily's guidance, children will use scissors and colored paper to cut shapes and cleverly combine them into lively stop-motion characters. Parents can assist their children while also experiencing the joy of crafting imaginary worlds.

Hand Puppet Theater
8th-KIFF-workshop-16.png
Hand Puppet _edited.jpg

In this hand puppet workshop, children and parents can explore the joy of creation together. The children will use various textile materials like cotton, plush, and silk to handcraft the body, costumes, and accessories for their puppets. Under the guidance of instructor Emily Wong, they can freely unleash their creativity. Parents can assist their children in completing the projects, while also rediscovering the pleasure of childhood handicrafts. This not only provides a great opportunity for parent-child interaction, but also helps children develop fine motor skills and imagination. After completing the puppets, everyone can write little stories for them and perform mini-shows. Seeing their self-made puppets come alive on stage will fill the children and parents with pride and delight. This workshop not only fosters creativity, but also strengthens family bonds, providing an unforgettable experience for all participants.
